She continued to show her Hunter-Jumper horses throughout her young adulthood, turning down a scholarship to study art at the university level. As a young adult she moved to Northern Virginia to continue showing her Hunter-Jumper horses on the east coast. She is a full-time, sought after portrait artist whose work can be seen throughout the country in private collections, galleries, hunt clubs, schools, businesses, juried exhibits and on magazine covers, including, on several occasions, the cover of the international equestrian magazine “The Chronicle Of The Horse.” Campbell’s artwork has been the feature story of WVIR-TV NBC 29 News in Charlottesville, Virginia, as well as the featured front page story, on different occasions, of a central Virginia newspaper, “The Madison Eagle."
